Dear Families,
We hope you had a wonderful summer! As we start the 2024-2025 school year, we are thrilled to welcome back our students and families.
This year, we have some exciting updates:
- Enhanced Science Curriculum: We're adding more science time to our schedule to provide more hands-on science activities to inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
- Increased Intervention: We're expanding our intervention programs to help every student succeed and close academic gaps. The programs we will be using are Really Great Reading for our English classrooms and Esperanza for our Spanish classrooms.
- Reading Success: We are proud to announce that the number of grade-level readers in K-2 doubled last year! This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, and supportive families.
We also have many new faces joining us this year and we will be giving all families a list of “Who’s Who at Cole” when we have Back to School Night on August 15 from 4-6!
I am also asking for more families to join the Cole Leadership Council. Your involvement is crucial in shaping the future of our school and I want to make sure that decisions we are making support the vision of the community. If you're interested, please reach out to us at 720.423.9120.
Finally, Cole is hoping to continue our strong reading growth by continuing to push for more reading at home. If you would like books for your child, we will also have books on August 15.
