Creativity and Inquiry

We believe that creativity and inquiry are vital to a 21st Century education. At Cole students receive an education that will prepare them for the world that waits for them. Not only do we teach Literacy and Math, but we teach how to work hard, make progress, and be a good person.

High Quality Instruction

We believe that high quality instruction is culturally responsive and engaging. We use a variety of curriculums to accelerate student growth. Our approach is a proactive one. We all look to see what gaps are currently present, but we also ensure we are pushing students to be prepared for the next grade level.

Diverse Learning Opportunities

Multiple diverse learning opportunities provide students mechanisms to attain growth and proficiency. Cole intentionally infuses social emotional, cross content, and cross grade level materials together in order to provide students with many different opportunities to learning in all kinds of contexts.

Appropriate Assessments

We believe that instruction should be driven by data and values appropriate assessments. Teachers take assessments themselves in order to ensure they are on track for instruction. We also have time each week to dive into student work and determine what supports we can provide as a team
